I’m not sure if Amy Sohn’s “The 40-Year-Old Regressive” on The Awl is meant to be satire on why everyone outside of New York hates New Yorkers — specifically rich white ladies who live in Park Slope and hang out in Williamsburg — or if it’s a prime example of exactly why they do. I want so badly for this to be a joke, but I think Sohn might be the real (tone deaf) deal. Either way, the comments section is a reminder that not everyone eats up this particular brand of bullshit.
