Whitney and I went on PBS’s Off Book to talk about fan cultures recently. I was joined by my friend Amanda Brennan from Know Your Meme to talk about Bronies - fans of My Little Pony, and Whitney spoke on the subject of Holmies – fans of James Holmes. Also featured in the video are Alexa Dacre, fan fiction writer; Naomi Novik, Organization for Transformative Works; and Prof. Francesca Coppa, Muhlenberg College.
